About my traveling life (and how photography fits into it)

Hi, I'm Faith, & this is my traveling + photo life

I don’t really know when travel stopped being a trip and just became my normal. It feels like it wasn't that long ago that I was dreaming of this lifestyle and now I get to live it and I'm so thankful every day that God made it all possible.

Most of the time, it's Tyler and I are in our casita camper. We kind of hop around. Sometimes we have a plan. Sometimes we don’t. We plan around the weather, seasons, and honestly just what sounds fun. We like being off grid and camping in the middle of nowhere. Quiet, bumpy dirt roads. No service. Coffee outside. Windows open at night. Campfires. That kind of thing. Emory comes with us everywhere. She’s fully convinced this entire lifestyle exists for her, and it kind of does. We plan almost everything around what's dog friendly and she takes up the most room in the camper bed for sure.

We have a small apartment in Central Texas where we spend a lot of the year, then the other parts are spent in our lil' camper. When I’m on the road, I feel more like myself. I’m slower. I notice more. I’m not rushing from one thing to the next. And that’s exactly how I want my work to feel. I don’t love repeating the same locations over and over. I love showing up somewhere new. Somewhere meaningful to the people I’m photographing. Somewhere that feels like real life. Meeting people all over the place and hearing their stories.

One of my favorite things is being able to say “yeah, I can come there!”

Because we travel the way we do, it’s usually pretty easy for me to add things in. If we’re already headed somewhere, I’m always open to squeezing in a session or an elopement if possible. Sometimes it’s planned way ahead. Sometimes it’s last minute. I kind of love both.

Travel isn’t something extra I do for my work. It's a part of my work.

As far as booking goes, I’m really open.

I usually have a loose idea of where we’ll be throughout the year, certain places at certain times for set bookings, then I book out for those areas and even add on new ones when possible. I either plan travel around bookings, or bookings around travel.

Sooo,

If you’re getting married somewhere

If you’re eloping somewhere

If you just want photos somewhere beautiful

I can be booked anywhere.

And if I’m already nearby, even better!

Working with me is pretty low key.

I’ll help with locations and timing and ideas. But once we’re together, it's pretty much just a fun hang out. We walk around. We talk. Maybe do an activity. I’ll guide you when it’s helpful and disappear when it’s not. It feels easy. Like a good day that just happens to be documented.

Andddd that’s kind of it.

This is just how I live and how I work. They’re not separate things really. It's a traveling life mixed into a calm one in Texas. If you’re thinking about doing something somewhere and wondering if I’d be down to travel for it, the answer is probably always yes.

Just tell me what you’re dreaming up and when!
